The Overture score shows you the number of times the word or phrase was searched for in a month.

Overture gives you the number of searches on the Overture network, which includes Yahoo!. This means, that the number of searches on Google and MSN are not represented, so the total number of times the word/phrase was searched for on the entire Internet is much larger.

Since the Overture score is not completely inclusive, we just use it as a guide. There is similar tool that tells you number of Google or MSN searches for a word/phrase.
